Cardio, eating right for your goals, and a calorie deficit are the basics of weight loss and fat burning.


But if you’re only looking to burn fat and lose weight, not build or keep muscle, try light weights with lots of reps. It’ll get your heart rate up and feel like cardio.


To build muscle, you need to lift until you can’t do another rep without losing form. Whether you use light weights with lots of reps or heavy weights with fewer reps doesn’t matter. But you’re more likely to hit failure effectively with heavy weights and fewer reps.
